FYI, a workaround that works is to replace the actions in Mac Mouse Fix by the corresponding keyboard shortcut (e.g. replace "Mission Control" action by "Keyboard shortcut..." -> "Ctrl + Up".

Also, I was using the free 2.x version until yesterday and I never experienced this issue...

HI @gjherbiet, thanks for the feedback!

As long as the keyboard shortcuts are immediately reset, this is expected behaviour.

The only reliable way I know of to trigger some system actions such as Mission Control, is to temporarily change the keyboard shortcut settings using a private API and then triggering that keyboard shortcut programmatically. This mechanism has been used since the first release of Mac Mouse Fix.

If the keyboard shortcuts aren't reset to your original settings after a split second, that's a bug, but but the little flicker in the keyboard shortcut settings when you trigger actions from Mac Mouse Fix is expected.

If you you have any further questions, or comments, please let me know.

The issue is that the shortcut is not reset (i.e. stays unassigned with "none" value) after using the following commands :

  • Mission Control (Ctrl + Up)
  • Application windows (Ctrl + Down)
  • Move left a space (Ctrl + Left)
  • Move right a space (Ctrl + Right)

From my observations and what you describe, "Show Launchpad" has the proper behavior, contrary to the other actions.
