error when building on Orion about coastalapp

when using the non-parallel versions of netcdf and hdf5,

module load hdf5/1.10.5 netcdf/4.7.2

the module loading process reloads them as parallel:

The following have been reloaded with a version change:
  1) hdf5/1.10.5 => hdf5/1.10.5-parallel     2) netcdf/4.7.2 => netcdf/4.7.2-parallel

here is the change in modulefile from this branch to master:
master...feature/orion

@pvelissariou1 and I determined that the esmf/8.0.0 module on Orion is broken (due to syntax errors in the module), and will need to be updated / rebuilt
