thanks for the suggestion. I will have a look at this.
Modifying updatedContentString method may introduce some incompatibilities with existing custom tags, but I will find a way.
Just one question, why are you dividing bounds dimensions by 2 ?

Modify:
CGFloat scale = [UIScreen mainScreen].scale;
attch.bounds = CGRectMake(0, 0, image.size.width/scale, image.size.height/scale);

You just need to modifying computeFinalExtractedString method to support NSAttributedString value.
And I think the GONImageMarkup class will not affect other classes or custom tags!
