seems that Java Swing file chooser stopped working after the recent Windows upgrade. Same Java version used 1.8.0.192 as before but error is now visible, previously (probably before Windows upgrade) not.
#45 is making error catchable, file chooser / "pick a path" button not working on Windows, however manual copy-paste will be still usable and file chooser will still work on e.g Mac
