This has been discussed a few times in the past. If you want to validate custom configuration files, you can simply put the validation logic right in the configuration factory function. Adding extra abstraction on top of that would only make things more complex.

I was unaware of this having been discussed before since I only searched the issues for the keywords "custom configuration". Pardon the disturbance and we'll try the approach of validating directly in the factor. Have a good day.
