firebase auth iOS: verifyPhoneNumber is crashing the app about firebase

By chance did you initialize the firebase app ?

I added the following import:

import '@nativescript/firebase-auth'; // only needs to be imported 1x

and I am calling firebase().auth() to get the auth instance.

Actually this should be enough right? On Android this seems to work as expected.

By the way, I am still struggeling with other firebase auth methods on iOS as well:

firebase().auth().createUserWithEmailAndPassword("[email protected]", "password") gives the following error:

TypeError: Cannot read property 'createUserWithEmailPasswordCompletion' of null

firebase().sendPasswordResetEmail("[email protected]") gives the following error:

Cannot read property 'sendPasswordResetWithEmailCompletion' of null

On Android, this methods are working as expected.

Did you call the following?

import { firebase } from '@nativescript/firebase-core'
const defaultApp = firebase().initializeApp(); // u can assign it to a variable if needed

Ahh...... Indeed I forgot that. Not sure why it has worked on Android then, but on iOS I have to call it :)
