Thanks for the report. It was a mistake to not include 'execve', you can send the fix with a PR.
For your case, I think it's because you didn't propagate the environment variables. For now uftrace passes information to a new (child) process via env (including LD_PRELOAD). Without it, uftrace cannot trace the a.out, so glibc's mcount() would be called.
Please try it with execvp which inherits the current environ. It seems you also need to change it to pass a proper argv instread of NULL.
