Just ran into this too. I moved 'error_log /usr/local/var/log/nginx/error.log;' to the http{} section and everything works fine.

nginx seems to need access_log and error_log on http block now.

@yanfeng1012 you need to give /usr/local/var/log/nginx/ folder permissions, so nginx can write into it.
