Hi there 👋

My name is Marc Schwering. My original background is Molecular Biotechnology. Throughout my career I have changed from wetlab, to data science, to software development. The past years I have built software for Bayer's Pharma R&D. Now I am working as a freelancer. Apart from that I like sailing, travelling, Muay Thai, and in general DYI stuff. So, you might find some related repositories for that :)

MagicSoup is a game that simulates cell metabolic and transduction pathway evolution. Define a 2D world with certain molecules and reactions. Add a few cells and create evolutionary pressure by selectively replicating and killing them. Then run and see what random mutations can do.

prevailing-winds icon prevailing-winds

Webapp for planning your sailing holidays. Interactive map showing windroses of historic winds. Could also be useful for surfers, paragliders, pilots and more.

I was trying to find a good pattern for some problems using pytorch-lightning with tensorboard and optuna.

rbdpredict icon rbdpredict

R package for unbiased enigm RNA-binding protein (RBP) prediction based on shrinkage discriminant analysis. Enigm RBPs have been found to make up for one half of all RBPs.

rest-in-peace icon rest-in-peace

GraphQL API using python Ariadne and starlette with SQLAlchemy and Alembic for database management.

scrnaseq_batcheffects icon scrnaseq_batcheffects
