I addressed some of @cmungall 's points in my latest push.
Code is at https://github.com/DoctorBud/noctua/tree/generalize-noctua-context-with-grid and a PR will be created soon. Meanwhile, here are the latest changes.
- Autosave is now in place, which means that after saving a new or edited association, the entire model is saved to disk.
- An association row can be saved as long as it at least has a phenotype specified. It can subsequently be edited and other values added (e.g., AgeOfOnset, Evidence).
- The Save, Export and Graph buttons have been removed, as has the containing panel footer, leaving more screen space for associations.
- The Add Annotation button is now a Plus-Sign button on the corner of the Association list.
- Buttons are now less color and ink-heavy. The Tooltips on the graphical buttons are clearer (visible if you hover over them).
- Improves placeholder alignment in input fields.
I need clarification and some technical pointers on:
- 'Onset should only autocomplete on onsets'
- 'Autocomplete on evidence doesn't recognize common ECO synonyms ('TAS' etc).'
I assume that the Onset issue can be fixed by a more selective Golr Query.
I'm not sure how to handle the ECO synonyms.

@DoctorBud I'm not sure what you have access to in your autocomplete calls, but I think the shorthand evidence code labels are in the oboInOwl:hasExactSynonym
property of evidence codes.
