It just worked for me yesterday... Are you sure, that there is nothing wrong with your pod install?

Maybe try 'pod upgrade' and/or 'pod setup'

I was performing this on Yosemite (OS 10.10) and I believe that is what is causing the issue.

I'm trying to get hands on a Mac running Mavericks so I can try this pod installation.

@benmarten what operating system are you using? Were you able to run the sample project LikedOrNope?

Yosemite was the issue. I am still trying to figure out how to gets pods working on yosemite, (will look in apple dev forums for help with yosemite).

But I was able to try this successfully on mac running mavericks and its working.

Were you able to determine a fix for Yosemite? I'm just running into this now.

My colleague was able to run this on the official version of Yosemite. Back in August I was trying it on the beta version and it didn't work. 

So in short you should be ok!
