Generator throws error in VS2012 about modelsbuilder.original

The Visual Studio extension fails to load the proper Newtonsoft.Json that it needs to serialize messages to talk to Umbraco. I thought that the extension came with its own version of Newtonsoft.Json but maybe not. Need to check.

Extension is installed by VS2013 in "~\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0Exp\Extensions\Pilotine - ZpqrtBnk\ZpqrtBnk Umbraco ModelsBuilder Custom Tool\2.0.0.26" which also contains Newtonsoft.Json.dll version 6.0.2.16931.

But it seems that it's System.Net.Http.Whatever that wants version 4.5.0.0... any chance you can locate where the extension is installed and see what happens if you drop that version there?

Sorry which version do I need to drop in the extension installation folder?

I found a folder named C:\Users\Jeroen\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\Extensions\i1bsqbip.me1 where the Zbu.ModelsBuilder.CustomTool.dll and other dll's are located. It also has Newtonsoft.Json.dll version 6.0.2.16931.

Replaced the file with Newtonsoft.Json.dll version 4.5.11.15520 and now the generator works again in VS2012 :). Thanks for your help.

Cool that it works, but I'll leave the issue open for a while because I don't understand why you would have to drop that version in there. Or maybe I should ship with both DLLs... Go figure.
