I removed the note about unsubscribing from the description, since we don't need that for MVP. I'll open a follow-up issue to do that.
When an application subscribes a user to channel, we need to check to make sure the user hasn't already unsubscribed. Since reddit only tracks subscriptions and not unsubscriptions, we'll need to maintain the user's unsubscriptions in the open-discussions app.
