I agree - this would be a nice feature. Expanding on this, a non-manual, filter-based way of doing this could be very useful as flagging each request/response for "pass-through" would get quite tedious.

I'll add my vote here to what @ghost above said. A way to filter what gets recorded and displayed, versus requests that just pass through untouched would be fantastic.
Here's the typical use case: you're using mitmproxy
to debug an iOS application. You don't want the flow view (and memory) to be cluttered up by all the iCloud contact syncing requests.

+1 to this. I find it's easier to leave mitm running in the background while testing but sometimes there is a large amount of random background traffic that I want to ignore.

👍 Is this available yet? I'd like to just proxy a single domain and ignore the rest.

Hi all,
Just to keep you updated - the master branch now supports (thanks to @bradleypeabody) streaming the response contents back to the client (which has been the original request). Ignoring certain hosts completely is a duplicate of #175, which will be tackled soon. I'll post a quick update over here as soon as we have something to show.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I just landed an initial version of the passthrough/ignore mode on master. If anyone is interested in trying this out, please check #175 (comment) for details! 😄
Cheers,
