you can change your code into something like this
_denormalized_zero = [denormalized[0][i] for i in range(3)]
for channel, mean, std in zip(_denormalized_zero, means, stds):
channel.mul_(std).add_(mean)
seems like torch 1.7+ has this feature

met the same problem, anyone has suggestion?
from flashtorch.
how to solve this question?I have changed the environment,but...
from flashtorch.
I have the same issue. My model is fine-tuned from a ResNet-50 (using the latest fastai, v2), and I'm using Google Colab without a GPU. Interestingly, backprop.visualize(...)
doesn't work, but backprop.calculate_gradients(...)
does work. Based on some googling around, maybe there needs to be a torch.no_grad()
in there somewhere?
I am using the following package versions:
- fastai==2.2.5
- fastcore==1.3.19
- fastai-amalgam==0.0.26
- torch==1.7.0+cu101
- torchvision==0.8.1+cu101
- flashtorch==0.1.3
The network structure (of the ResNet-50) is as follows:

I tried that solution, but I still get the same error ^

Tried running visualize_saliency_with_backprop.ipynb
locally with Python 3.8 and PyTorch 1.4.0, but same error 😞

Hi all,
Apologies for the delayed response - I haven't been able to work on this project for a while due to personal circumstances.
The proper fix is on my todo list, but as an immediate patch I have pinned versions of torch & torchvision in colab notebooks to:
torch==1.5.0 torchvision==0.6.0
I can verify that these notebooks execute without errors and create correct visualisation as of April 27, 2021:
- Backprop demo: https://colab.research.google.com/github/MisaOgura/flashtorch/blob/master/examples/visualize_saliency_with_backprop_colab.ipynb
- Activation maximisation demo: https://colab.research.google.com/github/MisaOgura/flashtorch/blob/master/examples/activation_maximization_colab.ipynb
Best,
Misa
