You need to use my fork of coffin until dcramer gets around to hopefully pulling this change at some point (see https://github.com/dcramer/coffin/issues#issue/8).

This should probably be documented somewhere though.

No, that was pulled in my a larger merge, but I don't see why it should be there. Same thing goes for making auto_reload depend on settings.DEBUG, which causes different behavior than Django itself.
