When you go into ./manage.py shell, and say:
>>> from django_assets.env import get_env()
>>> get_env().url
What does it say?
Your stacktrace sounds like it should say "None". To determine Environment.url, django-assets now looks first at a ASSETS_URL setting, then at STATIC_URL, then at MEDIA_URL. Are any of those set to "None"? I.e.
>>> from django.conf import settings
>>> settings.ASSETS_URL
>>> settings.STATIC_URL
>>> settings.MEDIA_URL
from webassets.
>>> type(get_env().url)
<type 'NoneType'>
>>> type(settings.ASSETS_URL)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<console>", line 1, in <module>
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/django/utils/functional.py", line 277, in __getattr__
return getattr(self._wrapped, name)
AttributeError: 'Settings' object has no attribute 'ASSETS_URL'
>>> type(settings.STATIC_URL)
<type 'NoneType'>
>>> settings.MEDIA_URL
''
I did not set STATIC_URL at all. Is that the problem? Shouldn't get_env().url
skip None-Values?
from webassets.
As I don't have user uploaded files in my project, and therefore don't have to differentiate between MEDIA_URL
and STATIC_URL
, I simply set STATIC_URL = MEDIA_URL
and STATIC_ROOT = MEDIA_ROOT
.
That seemed to help, it works now.
