If I understand correctly. You have 2 folders inside that folder that's you choose while initial setup/in settings - downloads and local. downloads for downloads, local for library.

Sorry, I guess I wrote it poorly. I meant to choose a different directory for both of them since I don't want to backup my downloads and want to move my library backup to different directory that has other backups, synced with syncthing so it would be kinda messy with the present aproach

The app now uses scoped storage meaning it will only have access to a single folder that user has granted access to. It's a requirement for targeting newer Android version.
