This should be moved to the winget-pkgs repo. The manifest may need a different UpgradeBehavior, such as uninstallPrevious.

I don't think so.
The settings exist under: <User>\AppData\Roaming\doublecmd\

But does the applications uninstaller remove that folder when the uninstaller is run?

What happened to me is winget installed the new version, and I manually remove the old ones. In this case, the answer to your question is NO.

But I never tried uninstall doublecmd first and check if it removes all setting folders.
