I was under the impression that old packages should still keep working, am I wrong?

If you are on the old baseline yes, however this looks like you are using some kind of version override and in this case you also need to pin the version of litehtml. So in this case you are probably wrong.

So if I need to remain on the old Qt version I either need to manually pin all dependencies on a specific version or never update the baseline?

Not all just the ones being problematic.

You are on your own as soon as you leave the baseline. The baseline should always work together, as soon as you branch of you are in unknown territory and have to solve any problems yourself.
