Shift+Click already has a function, which is to select all items in a list of items (such as files in Explorer) between the first click and the second. Similarly, Shift+Drag is used to force moving a file (such as between drives, where the default is to copy).

So, it couldn't be in any part of the window. Could be on the title bar, I think (or maybe another key combination? Ctrl is equally not good for similar reasons)

What I meant by "shift keys" was ctrl, alt, shift, win, or a combination thereof. They're all called "shift" keys -- confusingly. Sorry I explained it later in my writeup. Obviously assigning a shift key combination that an application the user uses will be problematic so the combination should be configurable so the user can assign it to something they don't use in any of their application.

Oh really? Nevermind then... I'm not native so I assumed you were referring to the fact that there are 2 shift keys on every keyboard hehehe

Just FYI, keys like Ctrl, Shift, Alt, etc are commonly known as modifier keys.

Window centering too (I use it from AltDrag, like alt gr + left click on the window = center it on screen)
