@johnnyasantoss is your host machine (the machine where you're running Docker for Windows) also running 1709 (Fall Creators Update)?

@pharring No. I'm using this Windows version:
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise N 2016 LTSB
OS Version: 10.0.14393 N/A Build 14393
I've tried to pull the base image (microsoft/windowsservercore:1709) and it worked.
The problem only occurs when extracting the layer for this image/tag :(

@johnnyasantoss thanks for your reply. You will need to upgrade your host OS. A 1709 container requires a 1709 host.
