The Wiki starts to be improved by other contributors too.
Thank you all!

yes help pages would be really helpful here
from familygem.
I've enabled the Wiki.
It should be open to contribution from anyone with a GitHub account.
I would organize the wiki pages primarily based on the common needs of a user.
So there can be one page about each "How to", for example:
- Create a new tree
- Import a Gedcom with images
- Add multi-marriages for one person
- Export a tree
- Make a backup
- etc.

I totally agree that Family Gem should have some kind of help somewhere.
At the moment the only thing we have it's a single page about the share of a tree: https://www.familygem.app/help.html.
I am doubtful where the best place to develop this help is, GitHub wiki or what... π€

Github Wiki would allow others to easily contribute (if you permit that; wikis can be set to be freely edited, or by contributors/author only). I'd suggest to start it in "open mode" β should there be abuse, you still can restrict. We could use this issue for "initial organization" (I guess @mondstern would like to participate as well) β e.g. what pages to start with, what should go together on a page and what should be separated, etc.

Thanks @michelesalvador β I've just started the first page and called it FAQ, transfering your "Import a Gedcom with images" steps from #8 into it. As it's pretty short, I thought a single FAQ page will do for now β and we can split it up later if needed.
Couldn't add the other items (I've not yet created a new tree as I started with my work from 15 years ago by importing the GedCom file, and neither played with the other options except for making a backup, which was quite straight forward). But as you wrote, everyone can contribute now π
I could add the other headers, though, with the content of "TBD" to invite other contributors to fill the gaps π
from familygem.
I wrote some pages in the Wiki, mainly to answer questions received here in GitHub and in the Google group.
Contents in the FAQ page are moved to these single-argument pages.
In this way, when someone asks for a specific argument, it's possible to address them directly to the relative page.
I like the headers without content!
Maybe "FAQ" can now change in "To be done" or something..
And I would replace "tbd" with something more explicit: e.g. "Feel free to add content to this section".

Cool, thanks! I've added that as a pointer right to the app description in my repo (will become visible with the next sync tomorrow). Hopefully, active users can fill the TBD-gaps π
from familygem.
I deleted the FAQ page that had to-be-done content only.
No one contributed and it was just frustration to click on "FAQ" and find nothing.
I'm periodically updating the Wiki pages based on common questions asked by users.
