Ok it suddenly started working again no idea why. I don't know what changed, I haven't been touching my plugins.

It seems to either load my total pets or not at random Im not sure whats going on :)

It's counted separately per character, using currently logged char name as a key. Any chance you simply have 2 different chars and see different counter values?
Only other (and super unlikely) way to break it that i can see is:
- unable to access plugin config (PatMe.json located in %appdata%\XIVLauncher\pluginConfigs)
- unable to read current player name, internal Dalamud data, just works
