@niksingh710 The reason behind this error is that the assistant was triggered (via text or microphone) before the token file was created during which the assistant's ready event wasn't called.

In short, when you are in the "Get Tokens" screen, avoid pressing the microphone button or typing in the "Ask me anything..." bar which would trigger the assistant. I'll probably make a commit that will prevent this error from happening.

after Setting the credential location I am getting this if I ignore this then paste my code then clicking submit does nothing

You can request tokens only once per day as per my testing (that should explain this issue). So, maybe you can try fetching the tokens another day.

@Melvin-Abraham I get what u r saying, I tried today too and got the same issue.

so the whole process that I followed

1. Opened assistant from my application launcher and it automatically opens firefox and takes me to get the token link (btw my default browser is chrome and assistant is only showing on the tray)
2. clicking on the assistant icon in the tray and launching it shows assistant UI and a new tab opens in firefox with the same to get token
   
3. I click on ignore then it ask for me to paste the token when I do paste the token and click Submit nothing happens.
   

I hope you can help me to resolve this. is there any step I am doing wrong.

@niksingh710 The issue is pretty much still the same, assistant is triggered somehow before token is created. In your case this seems to be at the beginning, which could mean that it is being triggered right after the assistant is launched via the hotkey.

Typically, in Settings > Application > Configure Hotkey Behavior, the default hotkey behavior is "Launch app / Toggle Microphone". Generally, it does not cause any issue but in your case I can suggest the following: You can either set the value of Configure Hotkey Behavior setting to any other option than the default one and launch assistant again or try launching via "Launch Assistant" option in the tray context menu.

@Melvin-Abraham Nothing from your side it was all that I messed up. when I first launched assistant it was showing the microphone is not accessible so without setting assistant token I executed this command sudo snap connect g-assist:audio-record

This was executing a microphone.

now I uninstalled it and reset up everything now it is working

I have one question it is saying the microphone is not accessible so should I execute this command sudo snap connect g-assist:audio-record
