Hit enter too soon: OS is Ubuntu 20.04, and I can confirm that /usr/bin/pkexec exists on my system.

This seems like an issue exclusive to "strictly" confined snap as this used to work in "classic" snap. This restriction may be due to security reasons. Do you have any alternate solution for this?

Addressed in 1582872: The snap refresh command is no longer called as it mostly updates by itself automatically.
