The README.md details how to use Google Closure Compiler to get a minified version:
// ==ClosureCompiler==
// @compilation_level SIMPLE_OPTIMIZATIONS
// @output_file_name URI.min.js
// @code_url http://medialize.github.com/URI.js/src/IPv6.js
// @code_url http://medialize.github.com/URI.js/src/punycode.js
// @code_url http://medialize.github.com/URI.js/src/SecondLevelDomains.js
// @code_url http://medialize.github.com/URI.js/src/URI.js
// ==/ClosureCompiler==

But that output doesn't comply with the MIT/GPL license. You should make it easy to comply by hosting a minified version with copyright notice

You mean it doesn't comply with the license because the header is stripped?

yes. Other services that allow you to build their projects from multiple components also host a "whole hog" version to save people the time of compiling it.
It also has the advantage of you showing how you want people to attribute you, with an explicit license notice.
