I am happy, too! This tool is very useful, essential I would say--thanks!
I examined it further to see exactly what is backed up, and it turns out that these backup files are backed up. NC Backup creates a tar file homeassistant.tar.gz within the backup tar file. Inside that tar is everything in the custom_components directory, including zha_toolkit. So, my backups are indeed automatically backed up on my server. Sorry to have bothered you.

Happy to read that the instructions are leading to a working setup.
I use the Samba Backup Add-On which is available with HA OS - it backs up everything.
I could add an option to choose the location - what would be good place to get it backed up using your solution?
