Many neovim users are happy when a vimL plugin is rewritten in lua, so thanks for this one. Giving credit to the original project seems normal and help users switching from one to the other as they are awre that a lua alternative exists.

Thanks for adding back the reference. I think this is a good plugin for pure-lua neovim users. I will add a link referencing to this plugin in my repo in case people need it.

Would be good if we can follow the history of how new plugins evolves from the previous one. I'm suprised that the two authors haven't talked before. A collective effort is always better for the community than a division created by the lack of credit.
