Does someone sign up and then click "Add Employees" and they are pulled in through SAML or LDAP? Then the person setting it up creates the entire organization chart? Or do the individuals jump in and simply assign themselves to a manager and it automatically builds out the organizational chart from these nested resources?

I think most organizations you're dealing with would prefer the first. You'd have to talk to them to know for sure.

how often should 1:1s happen?

Give a suggestion of weekly or monthly, but let the org set this.

how often do reviews happen?

Same thing suggest every 6 months, but let them set it.

When there is only a few employees I'll have to figure out the best mechanism for anonymous feedback. I think making each respondent's feedback only viewable by question, instead of seeing all their answers as a whole, is probably the best course that I can think of now.

You could also have other managers in the organization summarize the anonymous feedback?

👍 on @britton-jb 's feedback. Company settings (how often 1:1, when reviews happen) should be set by company and able to be overridden by manager. I can see a lot of flexibility needed for these settings.
