Glad you liked it :D

As for the enhancement you were suggesting, how about just allowing multiple files in one bump call? I think version definitions inside a package shouldn't be that many anyways. What do you say?

I think the idea of replacing just the first occurence is brilliant. Spec files like Ruby gemspecs, JavaScript package.json's, and Python setup.py's will always have many version numbers (dependencies and all) and making bump.py smart enough to handle that isn't worth the hassle.

Yeah. I have since changed my mind and will build into my PACKAGE code how to smartly inherit the version from setup.py. That way bumpy remains simple and you don't run the risk of accidently having out of sync version numbers in different files. setup.py is the master and its up to package authors to do the rest.
