General Thoughts about c-code-style

• What is wrong with first curly bracket on the next line?

It is not necessary and is waste of space. Code within block is anyway indented and visible.

• Not initialising variables to 0? In places I've worked, uninitialised variables will fail your peer review.

C standard requires all global variables to be initialized implicitily to zero or NULL.

• Declaring all variables at the top of a block is a bit old fashioned.

And very ugly and unclear if they are initialized in the middle of program, unless they are declared within code block.

• I think it's nicer to underscore de-limit function names and camel-case variables. void my_func(void); int32_t myVar = 0;

Could be, but I prefer one approach only.
