I just successfully cross-compiled to linux/aarch64 on ubuntu 22.04 (amd64) - I had to install gcc-12-aarch64-linux-gnu and g++-12-aarch64-linux-gnu and ran cmake with:
CC=aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc-12 CXX=aarch64-linux-gnu-g++-12 cmake \
-DCMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME=Linux \
-DCMAKE_CXX_FLAGS='-march=armv8.5-a' \

Moving to p2; it looks like rust-mos won't be able to use our binary distributions without some additional work, and linux on arm64 is pretty rare.
