I tried to recreate your problem and could not. As a piece of advice, make sure your date
object can be parsed by python-dateutil
. I attached pictures of me trying to run the gkg
table over a full day and got back the full day. Remember, if you are trying to run this on the current day, it's impossible to get the full day because the day isn't complete. But, without seeing the date, I can't recreate. Here's my example:

GDELT data.
So, until I know what date
you pass in, it's hard for me to help. Because, as you can see, I'm getting results. Also, try to run pip install gdelt -U
to get the new update. Just in case.
