Thank you for looking into it. For now, I am using the below to get quiet the warnings:
blueimp-file-upload": "^9.12.6
jquery-sortable": "^0.9.13
I will watch for your update when sortable is updated.
Terrific library btw and I especially appreciate the oEmbed option.

The issue with blueimp-file-upload seems to be about backend .php code example. It's not really a part of JS library we're all using. Not unless you've copied the example.
As for jquery-sortable, it is a problem. It is updated to require jQuery 3, but don't seem to have a release. here's the PR johnny/jquery-sortable#253
