Then I agree. You should not get a validation error about the group if a child question was answered. Thanks for reporting this.

I actually have already developed a procedure that can do validation to find all required items having no answer. After testing and confirming my procedure working correctly, I just happened to realize that LForms provides this checkValidity() function in newer releases. So now I just want to leverage checkValidity() and use it instead of my procedure. By comparing the results generated by my procedure and checkValidity(), that is how I discovered that checkValidity() did not handle "enableWhen" correctly and the problem I reported here. We can wait for a fix to come out in the future.
