you can use JQL for this purpose.

$jql = 'project = TEST';

try {
$issueService = new IssueService();

$ret = $issueService->search($jql, $startAt = 0, $maxResult = 100000);
var_dump($ret);
} catch (JIRAException $e) {
       $this->assertTrue(false, 'testSearch Failed : '.$e->getMessage());
}

is there also a chance to access jira tempo unsing your client, to for example extract billable/not billable hours?
