If the line you are adding is simple, you can wrap the JUnitXmlReporter.writeFile method. This method gets all the final output that is going to be written to the filesystem. You can parse this string into a DOM Document and use query selectors / etc. all over the place to find elements, introspect the data, etc. Then just pass the new string you want to write onto the original implementation of writeFile. I don't have immediate plans to make it easy to add custom attributes / tags / etc. as the point of the reporter is to write JUnit-compatible XML files. If you want to modify the data on the way out, that's up to you.
