I've just installed 0.40.0 on my macbook (running mojave 10.14.6), and when trying the scan, it found Apple's AU plugins and VST3 plugins that I have installed (all the VST3 plugins are deactivated and listed in red). It needed to be told to scan for updated VST plugins to list them (they were already present on the system but not listed when I just did 'scan'), and when it did so, it also deactivated all of them, listing them in red. They work fine on Cubase on the same system.

FYI, I can now reproduce the problem. Not sure why it's happening yet, but should have resolved soon!

FWIW: Juce 5.4.5 fixes build problems with gcc9 either [1] - if somebody should ask...
