portamento's Issues

IE not working; not adding 'fixed' class

I'm testing IE7 & IE8 and not getting anywhere with Portamento. Working wonderfully on Chrome & Safari & FF.
What I'm seeing is that the target DIV is getting wrapped with #portamento-container as expected, but when I scroll up, the target DIV is not getting assigned the .fixed class as it does in non-IE browsers. Wondering what to do next?

[enhancement] Add missing bower.json.

Hey, maintainer(s) of krisnoble/Portamento!

We at VersionEye are working hard to keep up the quality of the bower's registry.

We just finished our initial analysis of the quality of the Bower.io registry:

7530 - registered packages, 224 of them doesnt exists anymore;

We analysed 7306 existing packages and 1070 of them don't have bower.json on the master branch ( that's where a Bower client pulls a data ).

Sadly, your library krisnoble/Portamento is one of them.

Can you spare 15 minutes to help us to make Bower better?

Just add a new file bower.json and change attributes.

{
  "name": "krisnoble/Portamento",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "main": "path/to/main.css",
  "description": "please add it",
  "license": "Eclipse",
  "ignore": [
    ".jshintrc",
    "**/*.txt"
  ],
  "dependencies": {
    "<dependency_name>": "<semantic_version>",
    "<dependency_name>": "<Local_folder>",
    "<dependency_name>": "<package>"
  },
  "devDependencies": {
    "<test-framework-name>": "<version>"
  }
}

Read more about bower.json on the official spefication and nodejs semver library has great examples of proper versioning.

NB! Please validate your bower.json with jsonlint before commiting your updates.

Thank you!

Multi-DIV, or Multi elements support?

Hi Kris,

I found your Portamento Demo really helpful, but I can't use it when I tried to put several DIVs that contained this effect in the same page. Is there any easy solution to solve it? I'm trying iframe.

Thanks very much!

Multiple elements

I see in the code that supporting multiple elements is on your TODO list. I just wanted to know if there's anything we (community) could do to help for this.

IE 7 Issues

Hi There,

I am using this JS and it works fine in all browsers apart from IE7, are there any known issues with a fix available?

The issues I am having is that the div is just stuck and doesnt float when scrolling down the page. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

destroy method?

I'd love to see a destroy method so I can programatically remove portamento-ness from elements on the page.

As far as I know, this method is recommended for all jQuery plugins.

Thoughts appreciated.
