Unfortunately:

Browsers tend to handle the popstate event differently on page load. Chrome (prior to v34) and Safari (prior to 10.0) always emit a popstate event on page load, but Firefox doesn't.

That's what Navigo is using. The only one way I guess is to postpone the route registration. You may do it a second later which I think will make Navigo tries to resolve but will find nothing. Then later when the routes are there will call the handlers.
