Yeaaaah, I was hoping no one would notice this ;-) The android API doesn't
have a
slider object that behaves the way you would expect in this situation yet. I
just
used a regular slide bar and made it trigger when the slider is positioned >75%
of
the way across. Unfortunately, you can move this type of slider to any
position
simply by clicking that position.
The sliders on the lock screen would work great in this case, but they are not
part
of the public API yet. I thought about designing my own, but haven't had the
time
and I was kind of hoping they would just release one in a future version of the
api... I'll leave this open until a better solution is available, or someone
gets
around to writing a custom one.

I've built a new slider widget for the next release (which hasn't actually been
released yet). You can install the beta via this link:

Let me know what you think of the new slider. I'll be releasing this version
in about a week or so.
