Nice catch.

However, .type('json') is for sending not receiving, Unirest checks the content type for parsing that.

Currently it is not checking +json until then there is still .raw_body which can be parsed to JSON

try {
  body = JSON.parse(response.raw_body)
} catch (e) {
  // an error has occurred
}

.type('json') is telling Unirest what Content-Type header to send with the request for the payload / body (application/json).

Not what to use to interpret the response body as.
