Could you give us the location of the error using GDB?

Is your element preceded with CheckIPHeader or another element setting the network_header annotation? In any case you should check that p->network_header() is not null, that could be your problem.

One way to do this is to add a check before working with the network header e.g.

assert(p->has_network_header());

Also if the packet is dropped by CheckIPHeader for some reason, there is also MarkIPHeader.

I use click_chatter(N) to find the proble may occur in "if (srcip == mysrcip)"

It looks like a comparison between a byte and a pointer of a byte array.

Perhaps use the builtin ip->ip_src to get the source address?

You would still need to either loop through the bytes to compare them one at a time or use something like memcmp to compare two blocks of memory.
