This is working as intended then, the blur doesn't work on all launchers due to system rendering limitations and is already labelled as such.

Yes, it turned out if blur gets disabled at exactly the right point (that thankfully the overlay does expose), it can be worked around. Still not sure why the system doesn't support rotating blurs but whatever.

Do you have the blurred background enabled in Expanded Smartspace settings? If so, try disabling it.

Yes I do, disabling it doesn't trigger the crash.

With version 1.6 (410c6d8) the crash has been fixed.
