This package is no longer actively maintained. If you find a fix for the problem, I'm still merging pull requests, but can't allocate my own time to PT anymore.

Thanks, I'm not that ninja at R yet but at least now it's a "known issue" for the next person to Google it, or who wants to maintain it. I'm sorry such a neat package is in limbo.

cache.name() is one of many functions used internally. Only a few functions are exposed to minimize complexity of the package (the Namespace file gives a list of all exposed functions). Internal functions should be considered private, as they may be changed or even dropped as part of ongoing maintenance. cache() and project.cache() should be used to cache data.

If you absolutely need to use cache.name(), or any other internal functions, you can access them by prefacing the function with ProjectTemplate:::

ProjectTemplate:::cache.name('example.1')
