Documentation and Release are very different ! about iris

Your title is not correct.

Examples are fully updated
Documentation is also fully updated to the latest v8.2.1

About the releases, the v8 is not there but that doesn't means 'that the documentation and releases are very different', Iris is fully vendored, each version is a stable release, just go get or download the master branch from github

However, if releases makes you to feel safer, here you're, the v8 from release page.
