Time and Detection Issue !!!! about kalkun

Hi

Kalkun cannot recognize your modem, gammu (and gammu-smsd) does.
First, make sure gammu-smsd is running without any errors, try to activate the log with debug level 255.

If gammu-smsd service is running, it will insert modem/phone information to phones table on gammu database, you can check it. Kalkun dashboard (Status, IMEI, etc) get the information from this table.

so i did what u said but i still cant figure out the problem after going thru the log file. But i'm hoping u can help me in getting this to work, because its very important for me to.

I'm hoping u can look at them and possibly tell me what i'm doing wrong. I hope i'm not asking too much by the way, bcuz i'm sure your probly a busy person. but i'm begging for your help.

Hi

You misconfigured some parameter on smsdrc.
First, service = files, change it to service = mysql.
Second, database = mysql, but on database.php (Kalkun database configuration) you mention $db['default']['database'] = "kalkun";. Kalkun and gammu must point to same database, in this case change database = mysql to database = kalkun.

Try to restart your smsd services and see what comes up.

i made the changes to the smsdrc file as you suggested, but unfortunately i ran into another error.
Error code: 1064, Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax............

i took the whole day trying to solve this problem, but luckily i was able to figure it out. i had to edit the environment variable.

But after finally getting kalkun to detect the modem, i again ran into another problem. The status is set to disconnected and i cant seem to get it to connect. Could you please advise me on what to do to solve this.

and could you advise me on how to solve the time issue i mentioned in the 1st message.

i realize the time issue, is the reason why i have no connection. but i cant seem to get it to work. no matter what timezone i put in the index file.

help me please.

Hi, you need to fix the gammu-smsd issue first, make sure no error occurred by looking at the log file, then check the gammu database on phones table. Kalkun status (connected/disconnected) is by looking for record in that table.

hey, like i stated in the last message, i have fixed that problem already. the log file does not have any errors and the phone table shows the modem info.

the issue i am having is the status on the kalkun dashboard, due to a time and date problem (Timezone).
Here is a pic to show you what i mean.

As you can see in pic 1, kalkun is not connected and the dashboard time is wrong, while the system time reflects my local time, which is 7 hours behind.
In pic 2, it shows kalkun connected with the local time (off by 1 hour). But now the system time is incorrect.

i sent a test message to my cell phone, but it did not reach until 7 hours later (my local time).
seeing this, i am 100% sure that this issue is a result of the dashboard time being incorrect. The problem is, i am unable to correct it, just by editing the index.php file.

hey you can forget it, i found what was causing the time problem. its now fixed and working perfectly.

gammu-smsd -c smsdrc -S....on running gummu service from command prompt we are getting "service process could not connect to service controller"(gammu service installed and started but in running we are facing that problem).........
on kalkun dashboard getting STAUS:UNKNOWN.....plz help me how get status:connected

phone table was empty(not inserting modem data)...............its sooo important for me.......help me out please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
