Yes, it should work with Android devices. Try restarting the script, and see if it works then. Note that the devices have to be conducting some sort of internet-connected activity to show up. Let me know if I helped resolve your issue. Thanks!

Seems that my Android devices don't get kicked out of the network :/ Furthermore, I tried kicking my desktop pc out (connected to the router with an ethernet cable), and it also didn't quite work. I couldn't ping google's server, but I could ping youtube and even watch videos.

Almost the same for me at osx.
I only have a disconnect for a second maybe and then it continues pinging successfully.

could it be some kind of caching problem?
I installed kickthemout on an debian VM, and its working if i kick my Macbook out. But if use it on my iPhone it works inconsistent. If i browse some Website that i recently visited (e.g google.com, youtube) its works just fine, but if i try to open an website that i didn't visited on that device it will give me an timeout.

With KickThemOut v2.0, you can manually enter the number of ARP packets to be sent out. More packets increase the efficiency of the tool in terms of keeping the device disconnected.
