Starting to look into this.

Have this working on my forked branch. Will require a Travis CI account and a Sauce Labs account. Full test and build takes around 15 minutes due to use of docker and the fact that Travis CI does not appear to be keeping a cache of docker images (pulls images every time).

Based on the discussion here it seems the way to speed up our build would be to make use of the container based infrastructure, install all our dependencies in that and specify the appropriate configuration for caching. Might be a little difficult to go down that route given the fact that our build is multi language and we have quite a few dependencies to be honest.
